Our Greenhouse

April 26th, 2013

Our Greenhouse, slightly hidden between the tall oaks, comes as a welcome surprise after a walk through the garden. Picnic-style lunches and teas are served amongst our collection of food plants that enjoy the warmer, drier interior of the glass greenhouse.

The hanging baskets with vining spinach, climbing guavadillas that drop down from the roof, flowering pineapples, and the annual African hibiscus (tasty in herbal teas), are some of the unusual plants worth seeing in this month’s seasonal display.

A recent visitor so enjoyed his experience, he boldly described it as “the worlds most beautiful greenhouse!”. Read more here.
